    Western Policy Brief-Addressing Rural Housing: What USDA Can Do

    The Western Rural Development Center has added to its Western Policy Brief series with this latest brief by Corianne Payton Scally, the Urban Institute, titled, "Addressing Rural Housing: What USDA Can Do." Ms. Scally is a senior research associate in the Metropolitan Housing and Communities Policy Center at the Urban Institute. She was contracted with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Housing Service from April 2015 through July 2016. In this Western Policy Brief, Ms. Scally highlights the contributions of USDA to rural housing, the ongoing challenges to meeting changing and diverse rural housing needs, and recommendations for assessing, strategizing, innovating, and funding a comprehensive solution to the rural housing crisis.
