Rural Poverty
The WRDC and the RUPRI Rural Poverty Research Center at Oregon State University co-sponsored a one and a half day poverty conference. 

Agenda topics included:

  1. Framing poverty in the west
  2. Poverty and tribal communities
  3. Networks and policy
  4. Natural resource dependent communities and poverty
  5. Latinos and poverty

Seventeen nationally prominent speakers on rural poverty from across the U.S. addressed attendees at the Eccles Conference Center on the campus of Utah State and our ‘virtual’ attendees who joined us, at no cost, via the internet from ten states. 

Video Presentations
Researchers presented papers and speakers and attendees alike participated in important discussions that will help develop community and state/national policies on reducing rural poverty. These online videos are made possible by USU's Center for Open and Sustainable Learning.
