Building Vibrant and Resilient Rural Economies

AUGUST 2016 -- The Western Rural Development Center has published a Western Policy Brief titled, "Building a Vibrant and Resilient 21st Century Rural Economy." This brief outlines the characteristics of a vibrant and resilient rural economy in the 21st century, and then describes factors within the community’s control that can be utilized to achieve this goal. Written by a group of experienced community and economic development professionals from throughout the West, the brief details characteristics of vibrant and resilient communities, and outlines steps communities may take to become more economically vibrant and resilient.
