In addition to being Associate Dean and Director of Cooperative Extension and Associate Vice President of Outreach, Dr. Christenson is a tenured professor in Agricultural Economics. He has co-authored or edited five books on the subject of rural policy and rural development, authored or co-authored more than 50 book chapters and refereed journal articles and more than 100 popular articles and reports. Dr. Christenson has participated as a member of the Bennett Round Table Steering Committee and the ECOP Executive Committee, co-chaired the ECOP Strategic Planning Committee, and been president of the Rural Sociological Society (1986-87). Dr. Christenson received his master’s degree in Extension and his doctoral degree in Sociology from Washington State University.
