Elisabeth Cohen is the energy and climate policy coordinator for Governor Huntsman’s energy advisor. She coordinates transportation fuels, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate change projects. Ms. Cohen is the 2008-2009 Mickelson Fellowship scholar through the Western Governors’ Association. Ms. Cohen earned her bachelor’s degree at Cornell University studying the science of earth systems and atmospheric science. She earned her master’s degree in atmospheric science at the University of Utah where she studied clouds’ effects on climate. Ms. Cohen teaches the Climate Change course and the Severe and Unusual Weather courses at the University of Utah. She taught in public schools as National Science Foundation GK-12 Fellow for two years during her graduate career. In Boston, Ms. Cohen taught at the Boston Museum of Science and while at Cornell, she worked on the Mars Exploration Rovers and taught about the mission.
