Dr. Linda Kirk Fox is the Associate Vice President and Dean, Washington State University Extension and is based in Pullman, Washington. Linda has worked in Cooperative Extension programming for 28 years, serving as county extension educator, as state specialist in family economics, and as a department head at University of Idaho. Since moving to WSU in 2002 she has led an organization of nearly 800 extension employees in 39 counties and 10 learning centers, and several colleges. In an effort to building university-wide extension, Linda has forged lasting partnerships and new funding for extension positions in the colleges of Engineering, Liberal Arts, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine, in addition to the legacy extension programs in the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resource Sciences.

Linda is the Administrative Advisor for the multi-state research project W-2001 "Population Dynamics and Change: Aging, Ethnicity and Land Use Change in Rural Communities.” She has twice received the USDA Secretary of Agriculture Honor Award for her programs in family economics including the “Investing for Your Future” program.

Linda promotes international work. She has taught at the Northwest Agricultural University, Yangling, People’s Republic of China and traveled in Africa as part of the National Extension Leadership Development (NELD) program. The current international projects she’s most proud of include WSU Extension’s work in Rwanda, Afghanistan, the Republic of Georgia, and rebuilding agriculture in Iraq.
